Client

Society for the exploitation of ancillary copyrights

Initial Situation
GVL (Society for the utilisation of performance copyrights) represents artists and broadcasters vis-à-vis broadcasters. Rights holders rely on a reliable distribution of royalties based on works used. In the course of the conversion of the billing procedure, a restructuring and consolidation of the extensive data stock became necessary. A modern IT process was particularly important to the client, which is why the Camunda BPM tool emerged as the optimal solution during the initial discussions.

Results
The GVL got an optimal monitoring through the plug-in extension of the Camunda Cockpit for monitoring the decisions made in the engine. The cimt managed to implement a very comprehensive but still manageable set of rules with DMN. This led to an intensive use of the state-of-the-art, department-friendly automation standard DMN for the decision logic.
