Am 28. Juni 2019 war es soweit. Zusammen mit 450 SAP-Enthusiasten besuchte die cimt ag die UI5con in St. Leon-Rot. Als Silber Sponsor der Veranstaltung waren wir dort mit fünf UI5 Entwicklern vertreten. Die UI5con ist eine jährliche Community-Veranstaltung bei der sich UI5-Entwickler, Kunden, Partner und Freelancer über neue Entwicklungen, Erfahrungen und Features austauschen.

Neben dem Core Team der UI5 Entwicklung aus den USA und Kanada, waren auch Vertreter der W3C anwesend. Bei Vorträgen, Hands-On Workshops und vielen Networking Möglichkeiten konnten die Teilnehmer und Entwickler ihre gemeinsame Leidenschaft für UI5 teilen.

Themen, die verbinden

Der Morgen startete mit einer Keynote, moderiert von Stefan Beck und Peter Müßig. Im Vordergrund standen dort die neuesten Innovationen und die Zukunftspläne der UI5. Im Anschluss begann das eigentliche Programm. Durch die Vielzahl von Vorträgen und Hands-On-Workshops gab es zahlreiche interessante Themen zu entdecken. Unsere fünf cimt-Kollegen konnten sich über viele neue Features wie „Fiori 3“ und „Web Components“ informieren und so innovative Lösungen wie „Open Cards“ oder die Integration von Machine Learning in UI5 Apps kennenlernen.

Direkter Austausch vor Ort

Neben den Vorträgen wurde den Teilnehmern die Möglichkeit gegeben, sich direkt mit den UI5-Experten zu unterhalten und ihre spezifischen Anforderungen zu diskutieren. Das Event endete mit einem Networking bei lockerer Atmosphäre.
