Use Case: Integration of different BI technologies
A large retail company wanted to evaluate the article data quality in order to find out which characteristics have which influence on a purchase. For this purpose, article data from SAP, anonymised customer data from Salesforce and article characteristics from an Oracle DWH had to be combined and analysed. For the integration of the different sources, the customer relies on Talend Big Data Integration, checks the data quality and transforms the data before storing it in the analytical database Exasol. The provision of reports and dashboards were created on the basis of Tableau.
Conclusion: Talend convinced with very fast and simple ETL processes for many different data sources while maintaining specific data quality characteristics. The combination of the enormous computing power of Exasol’s in-memory database with Tableau’s visualisations completely convinced the customer.
