SAP User Experience/Fiori

Simplified and role-based user experience

A major point of criticism when using SAP solutions is the interface, which is often not perceived as intuitive and user-friendly. For this reason, SAP AG has invested a great deal of effort in the design and development of more user-friendly interfaces.

SAP has personalised and simplified the user experience (UX) of SAP applications under the name Fiori. Thanks to modern UX design principles, SAP Fiori offers a role-based user experience comparable to consumer apps for all business areas, tasks and devices.

SAP Fiori is already integrated in many SAP solutions. These include, for example, SAP S/4HANA, the SAP Ariba mobile apps and the SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer.

Technically, the SAPUI5 framework – a “construction kit” for HTML5 and JavaScript – is used to develop the interfaces and the OData protocol is used for communication. Both are widespread standards on the internet. Fiori is not a programme that has to be installed on the client (i.e. the computer or mobile device) – it runs in any browser that is HTML5-compatible, i.e. almost all current browsers.

cimt AG helps you to realise your personal UX strategy and offers comprehensive services in consulting, implementation as well as operation.
